Knowsley CLCs - Anti-Bullying Week 2009

Knowsley Cyber-bullying

This year's Anti-Bullying Week campaign is ‘Stay safe in Cyberspace’. The focus will be on Cyber-bullying - the use of information communications technology (ICT), particularly mobile phones and the internet, to deliberately upset someone else. The CLCs are running activities all week in our centres and in schools around Knowsley.

For more details or for ideas to support you organise your own activities call 0151 477 4080.

For further information about the campaign and the Knowsley City Learning Centres activities visit the Events page.

Activity Ideas for Your School

There are many activities and events relating to Cyber Bullying that you could do for Anti-Bullying Week and outside of Anti-Bullying Week, here are a few suggestions:

1. Get learners to write an Anti-Cyber-bullying Poem which could form the basis of a still frame animation and hold a prize giving on the final day.

2. Get learners to create a series of presentations for a week of Anti-Cyber-Bullying assemblies, a different year group could lead on each day.

3. Get learners to produce Anti-Cyber-bullying poster, the posters can be voted on by the school and the winner used around the school to raise awareness of bullying.

4. Get learners to create a series of Anti-Cyber-Bullying podcasts that could offer advice and support which could be uploaded to the school website.

5. Get learners to write and produce a short film about Cyber-Bullying.

Create, with the help of learners, an Anti-Cyber-Bullying magazine with advice on how to deal with bullying.
