ICT Conference 2018

Wednesday 31st January 2018 – 9am – 4pm

Our annual ICT conference is now in it’s FOURTH year! The conference has had amazing feedback from attendees and will again showcase the latest developments in blended learning, new ideas for the use of ICT/computing, educational software and hands-on-workshops in schools. The conference is open to all schools in Knowsley, Sefton, Liverpool, St Helens, Halton and beyond!

Our keynote speaker will be Mr Phil Bagge, Phil has been described as a pioneer of primary computing science. He works for Hampshire as a Computing Inspector/Advisor, teaches computing in two Hampshire schools and supports CAS as a Master Teacher. Phil was involved at the drafting stage in creating and refining the Computing Curriculum through the BCS and CAS. His keynote will draw on his extensive experience of teaching Computing.  For his workshop, Phil will will be demonstrating lots of wonderful things to design, make and program which combine science, DT, engineering, art, maths and computing.  Our other workshops have also been confirmed and include Showbie delivering a workshop demonstrating their app, A Tale Unfolds .  We are still in the process of confirming our workshops but will update this page as we do.

This is our fourth year and it promises to be bigger than ever – with lots more prizes including an iPad! Delegates will again have the opportunity to learn more about innovations in the use of technology and the computing curriculum with keynote from leading innovators and practitioners. Previous keynotes have been from Mr Lee Parkinson,  Mark Anderson (ICT Evangelist), Abdul Chohan (ESSA Academy) and Prof Stephen Heppell.
